SOUNDS OF HOPE FOR OPEN CIRCLE THEATRE
It's a doulbe header! Joe will be joining Tom Nichols again on July 23 at Potter's House in Adams Morgan as part of the Sounds of Hope performance series. Joe and Tom will each share a full set of their own original music, including folk, pop, blues and country-infused alternative tunes. Suggested minimum donation is $15 to benefit Open Circle Theatre. Open Circle is a critically acclaimed non-profit theatre company in the DC area highlighting the contributions of disabled artists both on and off stage. Definitely worth coming out to spend the evening with Tom, Joe and Susie Richard (Artistic Dir. of Open Circle) for music and mayhem - not to mention plenty of good food and drink.
GET TO GERMANO'S TRATTORIA ON AUGUST 21
Joe is bringing his new tunes and new show, A World Of My Own, to Baltimore's favorite Italian restaurant, Germano's Trattoria in the famed Little Italy section of town. Show begins at 7:30 p.m. Cover charge is $10. Food and drinks are served, of course, beginning with pre-show dining as early as 6:00 p.m. The show is a collection of great tunes that are "a tour through the mind of Joe Peck." With vocals that are unparalled, Joe will be interpreting his own songs - best described as alternative infused with blues, folk, country and pop. This is going to be one HECK of a great show!!
SONGWRITING WHIRLWIND
Who knew that Joe would pick up his guitar (after it had languished in the closet for many years) and start writing song after song. It's true! Joe already has more than enough new original material to fill an album. They still call them albums even though they're on CD, right? His songs can best be described as alternative music infused with folk, blues, country, and pop/rock. You definitely should come out to one of the upcoming shows to check out songs like "This Ain't Disney," "Two Left Feet," "It's Time To Go," "Going Through The Motions," etc.
