Moving from abolitionism to fantasy, I am now narrating a collection of short stories by Tanith Lee titled, “Tempting the Gods.”

Let me say right up front that I have had the opportunity to narrate some of her stories previously, so I knew the writing would be good.  And it is.  The prose is top notch.  If you are interested in off-the-wall stories that make you think – especially about moral and metaphysical issues – you’ll love these.  In the book we have knights who are also priests going on quests and being “tempted.”  We have pigs talking to god in some bleak future scenario.  We have women who have somehow tapped into their inner animalistic nature.  Etc.

There are a total of 12 stories in the roughly 250 pages of “Tempting the Gods: the selected stories of Tanith Lee, Volume 1. ”

Publisher’s Weekly says of Tanith Lee – “One of the most powerful and intelligent writers in fantasy.”
