As I said in a recent post – you never know when or how inspiration will strike.  But it’s my firm belief (in my brief career writing songs) that inspiration strikes more often while you are living your life than when you shut yourself away to “focus on songwriting.”  Although, obviously, you have to actually have at least SOME time alone to capture your inspiration on paper or in a song file.

I just finished a song called Arielle’s Song.  Why that title?  Because it was young Arielle who served as the inspiration.  You see, we were just having a quick conversation at work when she just popped out with something that hit me like a ton of bricks.  As soon as the words escaped her mouth, I thought “That is going to be a song.”  And now, it is!

Don’t have it recorded yet.  I’ll get that done soon – just the rough stuff I have at home – and post it at my Reverb Nation page so you can give me your thoughts.  In the meantime, I’m keeping my eyes and ears pealed for the next song!!!
